Who are we hiring?
Instant procurement is at the start of a transformation towards implementing a global supplier strategy and is looking to supplement its procurement team to support both transformation and day to day delivery activities.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this is an exciting new role that offers the opportunity to take ownership of the category, create category strategies that identify and deliver improvements that drive value, whilst supporting key stakeholders with procurement solutions that support Fit out and associated works and services which are delivered to many prestigious clients across the Instant Global business (UK, EMEA, APAC, LATAM). In addition, you will work collaboratively with our Delivery teams across the regions to enable them to meet the requirements of our clients and to continuously drive improvement through commercial innovation.
Within this role you will also be required to support the head of procurement in developing the wider global supply chain strategy for Instant.
What will you be responsible for?
- Develop, implement and manage a global preferred supplier list that is sustainable and fit for purpose to support business growth and global strategy
- Support the head of procurement with transforming the procurement framework for Instant globally
- Develop procurement strategies that deliver best value solutions in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Leading and executing tender processes (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs)
- Negotiate contractual terms and draft contracts
- Delivery of savings targets and operational efficiencies - ensuring clear and auditable benefits tracking
- Contribute to commercial pricing models and work closely with the commercial function to shape client pricing models
- Establish, Promote and Influence good procurement practices that support speed and agility
- Assist with developing and embedding Instant’s Sustainability requirements into procurement and supplier strategy
- Work with Contract and Delivery managers to support commercial contract and performance management requirements where needed
- Work with stakeholders and supply chain partners and identify opportunities to negotiate direct commercial relationships with manufacturers of regularly procured equipment and materials
- Help develop Instant’s Supplier relationship management framework in line with Instant’s strategy
- Support external client discussions and manage key relationships
- Ensure vigilant compliance with statutory, Client and Instant H&S and operational policies globally
- Recognise and proactively build upon opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
- Demonstrate value for money through conducting regular benchmarking and commercial reviews, maintaining an external network to provide insight of market changes and innovations
- Work collaboratively and maintain excellent communications with key stakeholders (external and internal)
What are we looking for?
- MCIPS qualified desirable
- At least 5 years experience in Capital works procurement across various sub-categories including Fit out, furniture fittings and equipment and associated consultancy services
- Highly experienced in procurement strategy development, tendering, negotiating and contract drafting
- Post contract management (Commercial contract management, managing commercial supplier’s performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs, strong SRM skills)
- Solution focused achiever
- Knowledge and experience – NEC, JCT or FIDIC suite of contracts desirable
- Experience in leading the procurement of design and build (D&B) projects of varying value
- Experience working in a fast paced client facing organisation
