Incendium are hiring!
Incendium Consulting Ltd is a 7 year young, thriving consulting business, supporting corporate clients across all industries with their real estate and facilities transformation projects.
Within Incendium Consulting, we have 3 main practice areas:
• Target Operating Model and Procurement
• Sustainability
• Strategy and change
We currently have c90 resources on client projects, split equally between employed and contractor and are looking to further expand our pool of trusted experts (preferably as full-time employees but we are very happy to discuss contracting too) to serve client needs.
At Incendium, we are part of The Instant group since 2019, a global workplace services business with 500 staff and locations in 18 countries. We pride ourselves on providing competitive packages and benefits, the best projects and opportunities and a people centric culture that is core to everything we do.
Who are we hiring?
We are looking for a small number of new Associate Directors to join our UK / EMEA & US practices and lead medium size projects or lead major strands on some of our larger projects. We are seeking Associate Directors on both the TOM and procurement side so it is not a requirement to be an expert in both although experience in both would be useful at this grade. In such a role, the candidate will be expected to work independently and will be managing and coaching more junior resources and reporting directly to clients at a senior level. In addition, our Associate Directors actively contribute to our thriving business’ life and culture and also lead on business development areas.
As consultants, we are client facing the majority of the time, we are therefore typically partly based on client sites, partly working from our own office (London or others in the UK / EMEA & US, depending on your location) and partly working remotely although the balance between those 3 varies greatly depending on the assignment.
What will you be responsible for?
- Actively support and lead business development activities with a network of clients
- Lead medium size engagement or large workstreams within engagements
- Manage an Incendium team, coach junior members and manage client resources as part of projects
- Be an active Incendium ambassador
- Be part of the Extended Leadership Team and own internal workstreams
- Seek continuous development for self and team
- Work closely with the TOM and procurement practice lead to further refine and implement the strategy
In the TOM and procurement consulting practice, we support clients in all related activities including:
- Developing a vision and a strategy and target operating models for real estate, facilities and workplace teams in corporates (public and private sector, UK based and global).
- Once a TOM is developed, we support clients in developing their detailed organisation design, tools and processes and also often play a fundamental role in bedding in change.
- Developing their business cases and case for change
- Working with clients to develop options and assess the best outsourcing model for them for real estate, facilities management and projects services
- Developing a procurement strategy including choosing the best relational model (we work with a number of methodologies including Vested) as well as the best commercial model
- Preparing for a procurement including soft market testing, data gathering and analysis, preparing key documents and working stakeholders on change management and communications
- Running a procurement process (often very large and multi country) including plenty of engagement with bidders as well as evaluation and seeking final approvals
- Supporting the mobilisation and transition phase
- Providing relationship and contract health assessments
What skills / experience are we looking for?
- Experience working in a major management consulting business (strongly beneficial)
- Proven track record in a similar RE and FM TOM and procurement consulting environment
- Outstanding consulting skills and stakeholder engagement skills
- At Incendium we do not define experience and skills in years, so purely as a guide as we often get asked, our Associate Directors typically have at least 8 to 10 years’ experience in a similar environment
- Positive experience of managing and coaching more junior resources
- Excellent analytical skills and proven track record of leading complex pieces of analysis
- Excellent presentation and report writing skills
- Deep experience of developing relationships and ability to engage with clients to assess needs and scope projects
- Ability and interest in a very varied working day and ability to juggle multi tasks
- Ability and experience of leading similar consulting projects
- Ability to lead the delivery of key presentations to a senior client team
Experience in at least a good number of those is required:
- Target Operating Model development
- Procurement expertise on large RE, FM and projects services (technical, commercial and overall)
- Process design
- PFI exits
- Business case development
- Organisation design
- Change management
- Project Management
- Communication planning
- Public sector procurement and processes
- International procurement experience
- Commercial model development and analysis
- Relational contract models including Vested
- Benchmarking key contract terms and clauses
- Market awareness and knowledge of key players
- Professional qualifications are not mandatory but will be viewed favourably if relevant
What's in it for you?
- Competitive pay scales reviewed annually
- Discretionary annual company bonus
- Private healthcare and life cover
- Unlimited holidays
- Hybrid working with a focus on connectivity, flexibility and bigger relationships as part of our workplace experience strategy
- Flexible working options
- Bespoke training programmes
